There were great celebrations in Rathpeacon today as we raised our fifth Green Flag.  This time the school – pupils and staff – earned the Flag for our work on the theme of Biodiversity.  Our hard working Green School Committee: Mrs Coleman, Mrs O’Brien, Seán, Conor, Jack and Úna deserves extra credit for leading the entire school on this campaign over the past 2 years.

Local celebrities: Cork senior hurler Mark Coleman, along with past pupils and Cork minor hurlers, Shane Barrett and Evan Murphy came along to help raise the flag.  To top it all off there was a delicious ice cream treat for everyone to acknowledge their hard work!  What a day!
