Athletics Partnerships

Cork Sports Partnership organised a fantastic event in Mallow for Third Class. They had a fantastic day!

The Community Association here in Rathpeacon recently organised a 5km run with all proceeds going towards the Irish Red Cross Ukraine appeal. It was another wonderful event with plenty of participants from all classes in our school!

Working with the GAA

We benefit hugely from our partnership and work with the local Rathpeacon/Blarney GAA Club.

Sixth Class Trip to Páirc Uí Chaoimh

In November, our two Sixth Classes were invited to Páirc Uí Chaoimh. They enjoyed a football blitz on the astroturf pitch as well as a guided tour of the stadium. It was a brilliant opportunity for some of our future Cork stars to see what’s ahead of them!

Go Games

Blarney GAA have arranged for a GAA coach to visit the school on a weekly basis. The children really look forward to their Go Games sessions with Fachtna.

Members of Rathpeacon GAA and our past pupil and star player for Blarney and Cork – Shane Barrett, presented the school with new GAA equipment in September which is very much appreciated. We know it will be put to good use in the year ahead!
