INVENTORS OF THE FUTURE
Ms O’Mahony and Ms Twomey organised a ‘design and invention’ competition during Science Week. The standard across the school was extremely high with some exceptional models, designs, posters and plans coming in from children in all classes. Have a look at some of the prize winning inventors below.
During Science Week 2017, Ms O’Mahony and Ms Twomey organised events for the whole school. These events included the entire school taking part in an experiment – every child in the school worked in a small group to design and make a teabag. Each group was given a variety of materials and asked to judge which materials made the most effective teabag.
A ‘Design an Invention’ competition was also organised during the week with some fantastic inventors emerging at all class levels!
