We had a visit this morning from a past pupil – Ciara McNamara – who attended Rathpeacon N.S. from 2001 – 2009.  She went on to Carraig na bhFear secondary school and is now studying Social Science in UCC.

Ciara brought the FAI Cup.  Her team – Cork City – were recently crowned champions and Ciara is captain of the team!

We are really proud of her sporting achievements.  She has represented Ireland at under 15, under 17 and under 19 levels in countries including England, Wales, Denmark, Norway, Austria, Spain and the Netherlands.  Her Ireland duties brought her all the way to Taiwan recently for the World University Games.

We are really proud of Ciara and all her achievements and honoured to think that she began her sporting career playing for our Sciath na Scol teams in both hurling and football!
