Remembering Abi…

We had a beautiful ceremony today to remember our friend and past pupil Abi McGeough. At the ceremony we were delighted to welcome members of Abi’s family, her friends from Dogs for the Disabled and special guests Abbey (the puppy pictured – named in Abi’s honour) and Oscar. A unique and very special “Abi Bench” now has pride of place in our school yard.

Abi’s friends and classmates in our Fifth and Sixth Classes created beautiful butterfly art which now decorates the tree. They read out some beautiful prayers and helped to organise a fundraiser for Dogs for the Disabled.

It was a lovely way for our school community to remember Abi and to celebrate her life.
