For only the fourth time in our school’s history we had a visit from the Lord Mayor of Cork on Friday, 16th of September. It was a wonderful occasion for the school and we pulled out all the stops. Our Sixth Class pupils formed a guard of honour on the driveway to greet this year’s Lord Mayor – Deirdre Forde – to the school.
Pupils from our new 2022/23 Student’s Council and members of our Active School’s Committee formally welcomed the Lord Mayor and introduced her to all of the pupils and staff. We were especially delighted to see the Lord Mayor raise our Active Flag. We ended the occasion with a rousing rendition of “The Banks”
